Thumper’s Balls
As many of you know my good buddy Thumper sends me various toys to bust from time to time. Recently he sent me a pile of these little rubber playballs to dispatch with. I figured they’d make good victims for my nice, heavy MX boots. Hope you all enjoy
Inflatopalooza 2010: Balloon Sit-pop Contest
As promised… another week, another video. A lot of you have asked for some balloon action, and I realize it’s been a while since I’ve posted any. This contest was dreamed up by my old friend Thumper, who also supplied the balloons and beach balls. Sorry we didn’t use all of the beach balls you sent, but we were sick of them after doing the stomping contest in the morning
Inflatopalooza 2010: Beachball Drop
Last weekend one of my good gear+inflatable friends decided to pay me a visit. He hasn’t made videos before and we’re still working on an alias for him. For the time being, let’s just call him Mr. X.
We filled a 3-day weekend and 5 video tapes with inflatable destruction. This is the first video in what should be a long series
A beachball drop and popping contest. I don’t remember the final tally, but I know that he beat me by about 5 points. Scoring: 1 point for most, 2 points for the flame beach balls, 5 points for the little blue jet but it has to be the last thing popped, otherwise -5.
Beach Balls and Bad Camera Angles
Operating a video camera while wearing gloves is not the easiest thing to do. Apparently I bumped the zoom button while setting things up, which is why my groin is the prominent feature of this video. I figured I’d upload it anyway, as there’s still some half decent footage.
Mass Beach Ball Sit Pop
Another fan challenge, this time from thumper (recurring theme here, for those of you who’ve been paying attention). The stool seemed like a good idea at the time, but in hindsight it just gave me another way to injure myself. It won’t be making another appearance.
Balloons on a Whale 2: Electric Boogaloo
I shot this video to test out my then new digital still camera, which also had a pretty decent video capture mode… or so I thought. While it was capable of capturing at 480 and 720p, unfortunately there are some features such as image stabilization, which is what causes the frame to shake when I’m bouncing on the whale, that can’t be disabled. I gave up on it after 1 or 2 videos and bought the JVC MiniDV camera that I’m still using now.
A Tale of Two Beach Balls
One of the upsides about setting up this site and re-uploading all of my videos, is that I’m watching them again after not having seen many of the older ones for a few years, in order to figure out how to tag the posts. I had completely forgotten about the two-foot jump on the spidey beach ball at the end of this video. Normally I end up on my ass when I try things like that (and they don’t end up in the final video). I suppose I should collect all of those up and make an “outtakes” video one of these days.
Small Balloon and Pool Toy Miscellanea
Another variety show. Lots of small balloons, a beach ball, couple of small alligators. To answer the question that was asked 50x on my YouTube account: yes, I have a video of me busting the turtle SOMEWHERE, I’ll look for it and see if I can get it online one of these days.
Small Pool Toy Destruction
Working my way through a pile of smaller pool toys. A few 20″ beach balls, small alligators, a bop bag, and a swim ring specifically.
